Candy Drop gets a Snow Day!

Ladies! It's almost that time of the month (and no not the bad time lol!) Alison (Creator of Candied Apple Polish) and Jess (Creator of Drip Drop Nail Paint) are getting ready to release December's Candy Drop Duos! And yes, I meant that to be plural. They are releasing not one, but two duos on Friday, December 5th, at Noon EST. Today, I will be sharing the "Candy Drop gets a Snow Day" duo with you all. Prepare to fall in LOVE!

First up, is "Frosted Windowpanes" by Candied Apple Polish

"Frosted Windowpanes" is a light blue crelly polish filled with various shapes, sizes, and colors of glitter. Shown above is two coats without a top coat. This polish also comes with a small baggy of loose glitter. I showcased the three different types of glitter it comes with on my middle and ring fingernails in my swatch. Aren't they absolutely adorable! This polish is beautiful. I am so in love with it! The formula is perfection and applying it was super smooth and easy.

Next up, is "Snowed In" by Drip Drop Nail Paint

Macro shot of "Snowed In"

"Snowed In" is a clear based glitterbomb jam packed with different shapes, sizes, and colors of glitter. Shown above is one dabbed coat over two coats of "Frosted Windowpanes" by Candied Apple Polish with top coat. I'm definitely going to have to ask Jess how many different types of glitter she used to create this baby because there is a TON! And if that wasn't enough, this polish also comes with a small baggy of loose glitter. Included in that bag is medium sized blue circle glitter and white snowflakes. As always, the formula is wonderful and applying it was easy squeezy! I really enjoy using the "dabbing" method when it comes to glitterbombs with insane amounts of glitter in them. It gives you more control over where the glitter is placed. I am absolutely, positively obsessed with this polish!

And now, it's mani time!

Isn't this too cute! The only polishes I used to create this mani are the two from the "Candy Drop gets a Snow Day" Duo. If you have already forgotten their names or skipped through the blog post and do not know them, please look above to figure out what they are. Haha! You will be receiving two Christmas Tree decals by Lou It Yourself Nails and Snowflake stencils by Nails Redesigned along with the two polishes and loose glitter in this duo. Examples of both products are shown above.

Again, this duo is currently not for sale. It will be available for purchase on Friday, December 5th, at Noon EST. If you would like to check out more polishes by Jess and Alison you can do so by clicking here and here. First up, is "Mistletoe Kiss"

"Mistletoe Kiss" is a light pink creme polish. Shown above is one coat without a top coat. This polish is to die for! The formula is absolute perfection and applying it was smooth and creamy.

Next up, is "Sleigh Bells"

Macro shot of "Sleigh Bells"

"Sleigh Bells" is a clear based glitterbomb jam packed with various shapes and sizes of blue, pink, white, silver, and iridescent glitters. Shown above is one thick coat over one coat of "Mistletoe Kiss." This glitterbomb is fan-freakin'-tastic! I am absolutely obsessed with it! The formula is amazing and applying it was extremely smooth, despite the massive amounts of glitter in it.

Last but not least, is "Santa's Jingle"

Macro shot of "Santa's Jingle"

"Santa's Jingle" is a bright red jelly polish filled with black and gold micro glitter. Shown above is three coats without a top coat. I am IN LOVE! To be honest...

It's just polish! This evening I have the "A Mockingjay I Think" Duo by Polish TBH and a mani using the duo to share with you all.

The "A Mockingjay I Think" Duo is absolutely STUNNING! Originally, "A Mockingjay I Think" was a thermal polish. Unfortunately, the formula failed when exposed to heat during shipping. Never fear though! Christian (Creator of Polish TBH) came up with the awesome solution of making the thermal polish into a two polish set so that you could achieve the same effect by sponging the two together to create a gradient (which I will be doing asap!) The formula on these two polishes is perfection and applying them was smooth and easy. You all know how much I LOVE holographic polishes. I love them both so much that there is just no way that I would be able to choose a favorite!

And now it's time for my base shot!

I LOVE the way I do these base shot poses, so I just couldn't help but take one and post it (even though I didn't use any other polishes to create the base for my mani haha!)

Mani time!

Although this mani is extremely simple, I am absolutely in LOVE with it! It came out exactly the way I pictured it in my head, and honestly, who doesn't love when that happens!? I used a dotting tool to create the leopard print and the small dots. The "A Mockingjay I Think" Duo are the only polishes I used to create this look. Haha!) This red jelly polish is absolutely flawless! The formula is amazing and applying it was smoother than butter. I am in LOVE with it! I've never been a huge fan of red but man, Jess makes me love it more and more every time she comes out with a new red polish.

Application was flawless and the formula on these two beauties was amazing. I could wear these polishes for the rest of my life and be completely content. Yep, it's official - I need a lifetime supply of both of them. Jess, can we make this happen... pretty please?!
